Monte di Mezzocorona

Walking and relaxation

A vast network of footpaths converging on a completely traffic-free oasis of peace - this is Monte di Mezzocorona, the perfect destination if you’re looking for somewhere away from the hubbub of city life. This picturesque spot is surrounded by unspoiled, verdant countryside, yet it’s not far from town.

It lies above the town of Mezzocorona, which is less than 5 minutes by car from the Mezzocorona - San Michele all'Adige exit from the A22 motorway and offers easy access to the Monte – the seven-person Monte di Mezzocorona cable car takes 3 minutes, while the more energetic can walk up on well-signposted paths or scramble up the Burrone Giovanelli via ferrata.

Once there, marvel at the splendid views of the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg, the Adige Valley and the surrounding mountains, or take a walk along one of the area’s many footpaths through the woods and the countryside. On hot summer days, the Ora del Garda wind sends a breeze to the little plateau (891 m) bringing a touch of coolness to help you relax or to add to your enjoyment of a good meal. Don’t miss the tortel di patate (local potato cake) at the Albergo Ai Spiazzi, with its splendid horse chestnut trees and nearby picturesque little church.
